Brad is a Senior Research Analyst at Mangum Economics. He is an expert in economic valuation, policy impact analysis, and return on investment analysis. He has 23 years of experience as an economist and policy advisor in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. As the Associate Director of Economics and Senior Advisor for Economics and Policy, he led quantitative research to inform policy regarding supply chain resilience, traceability, food safety, nutrition, food security, tobacco labelling and safety, environmental impacts, drug pricing and labelling, medical device safety, and food fraud. He has published studies of the return on investment of government programs, the importance of economic analysis in federal rulemaking, and valuation of illness. Brad earned his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Texas with concentrations in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Econometrics, and Computational Economics.
